Alfa Romeo Plans All-New Formula 1 Car for 2024

Alfa Romeo is gearing up for significant changes in Formula 1, announcing its commitment to an all-new car for the 2024 season. This decision stems from a thorough assessment of the current concept, which has been deemed inadequate for future success.
The Swiss-based team has struggled in recent years, failing to score a podium finish since its return to the sport in 2019. While acknowledging the progress made in 2022, the team believes a fresh start is necessary to challenge for the top spots.
Technical Director Jan Monchaux explained the rationale behind the new design, stating, "We've learned a lot from the C42 and C43, but we've come to the conclusion that we need to take a different approach to achieve our goals. The 2024 car will be a clean-sheet design that incorporates all the lessons we've learned from the past."
The new Alfa Romeo car is expected to be unveiled early in 2024 before undergoing extensive testing ahead of the season opener in March. The team is confident that the new design will provide the necessary platform for improved performance and a return to competitiveness.
